How Does An Electronic Cigarette Work?
This is a short article on how an electronic cigarette works. An electronic cigarette in most cases contains three parts, the battery, an atomizer, and the electronic cigarette refill cartridge.
Electronic cigarette is powered by a rechargeable battery. When the user inhales on the electronic cigarette a plunger comes down out of the battery and makes contact with the atomizer. At this point the end of the electronic cigarette lights up and the atomizer vaporizes the nicotine solution that is held by the refill cartridge, more about the refill cartridge below.
The user then inhales the water vapor that is created when the atomizer heats up the nicotine solution in the refill cartridge. This water vapor looks similar to smoke but when the smoker exhales they are only blowing out water vapor.
The typical electronic cigarette refill cartridge lasts about as long as a pack of cigarettes. When the current refill cartridge is empty you simply unscrew or pull the refill cartridge off the electronic cigarette and slip a fresh one on.
The electronic cigarette refill cartridges contain a mixture of the flavoring, liquid nicotine, and propylene glycol. This solution is stored in the refill cartridges that are shaped just like the filter of a traditional tobacco cigarette.
